Job Description:
- Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs to vehicles, equipment and greenhouses and scheduled routine maintenance to vehicles, equipment and greenhouses
- Perform routine checks, repairs and basic installations to electrical systems
- Perform service skills including, but not limited to, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, troubleshooting and repair of facilities.
- Perform routine checks, repairs and basic installations of irrigation system.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
- Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments
- Perform regular preventative maintenance on facility
- Contribute and implement new ideas to help improve and produce ideal operational processes
- Mow or edge lawns, using power mowers or edgers
- Gather and remove litter
Key Characteristics/Skills:
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. multiple times per day
- Ability to withstand extreme weather conditions that include heat, rain and cold
- Ability to drive or learn to drive heavy machinery
- Ability to work from ladders, scaffolds and hydraulic towers
- Ability to work weekends, off-shifts and overtime as required
- Ability to work well with team
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2-5 years experience in maintenance
- Valid Texas Driver’s License
- Bilingual in Spanish is plus
